Inspired by hojalata, a traditional tin embossing practice found throughout Mexican and Latin American folk art, this workshop explores a hands-on way to emboss metal using everyday materials. The process is adapted using aluminum foil to make it accessible, portable, and easy to continue at home. So slow down, work with your hands, and embrace the imperfections. They are what give each piece its character. This workshop will be led by artist Sofia Arenas.
Date: Saturday July 18th
Time: 10am - 12pm
Event location: Culture Hub (228 SW 25th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73109)
